We have implemented our own Safety Rating (SR), which is independent of the Kunos Safety Rating (SA) and only takes into account the races run on our platform and is a good indicator of how safe the respective driver is on the track. For this purpose, the race incidents per corner are evaluated after each race. To gain SR, the ratio "incidents per corner" should be as low as possible. If, for example, you are involved in a start accident and then finish your race directly, this ratio is very high and you will lose a lot of SR. If, on the other hand, you continue your race after the incident and finish the race cleanly, you will gain SR.
The safety rating scale goes from 1.00 (lowest) to 9.99 (highest).
A maximum of 0.30 SR and a bonus depending on the current safety rating can be gained per race. If a race is finished with 3 or fewer incident points, an additional bonus of 0.10 SR is awarded. With increasing SR, the maximum additional safety rating per clean race becomes less and less.
The maximum SR loss per race is 0.50 and a "bonus" depending on the current safety rating. Therefore, if a driver has a low safety rating, the loss will be lower than for a driver with a high safety rating for the same number of incidents and corners.
Incident points are calculated as follows:
- Each contact (with other cars, walls, etc.) that causes damage to the car will result in 4 incident points.
- Leaving the track (only the "off-tracks" logged by the server count, regardless of the messages displayed in ACC) gives 1 Incident point.
Cooldown:
For each incident that earns Incident points, a 10 second cooldown timer will be activated where no further Incident points will be counted. For example, if there are multiple touches within a short period of time as a result of an accident, you will still only receive 4 Incident points for it.
SR Boost:
Every time the SR exceeds the value of 5.00, there is a "boost" of additional 0.25 SR. This is to prevent drivers from losing SR after only one accident. This is to prevent drivers from immediately losing their driving licence for the series and events with the corresponding minimum SR of 5.00 after only one possibly bad race with SR loss.
